Suspected of the murder of his wife Delphine, who disappeared on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020 in Cagnac-les-Mines (Tarn), Cédric Jubillar continues to proclaim his innocence.
"I never hurt Delphine," he said in a low voice when he arrived at the hearing of the investigative chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal.
The latter was examining his request for release for the third time, after his imprisonment and his indictment on 18 June. "You are not there to give interviews to the press," replied the president of the court irritably before clearing the room to examine a request for closed session brought by the general prosecutor's office.
And it is without public that the debates took place, to the chagrin of Alexandre Martin, one of Cédric Jubillar's lawyers for whom the plasterer has "never had the opportunity to speak".
A decision that comes after leaks in the press at the beginning of the week, with the publication of a large part of the minutes of the hearing of Cédric Jubillar, on October 15 by the investigating judges.
To avoid further leaks undermining the secrecy of the investigation, the representative of the public prosecutor therefore requested that there be no publicity of the proceedings.
A hearing where Cédric Jubillar's lawyers decided to demonstrate that there was no reason to keep him in detention.
"There is no proof", insists Emmanuelle Franck who assures her defense.
