Under the title "Renewal", the 12th edition of "Nights of Art" was held at the Dubai International Financial Center, offering visitors a wide range of inspiring artistic and creative works presented by a group of artists and talents, which combine design, performing arts, formation and installation works.


The artist Asara Ibrahim Pour presented an artistic performance depicting the concept of “renewal” through the work in which she placed her body movements on canvas using charcoal to present a painting that focuses on how the lines overlap and completeness, allowing the formation of a color pattern that embodies the idea of ​​renewal. Burr spoke to the Emirates today about her work and said: "The work presents the concept of communication, especially through the center in the middle of the painting. The center of the painting is clearly seen, and this confirms that the energy for re-invention from the center represents what is beyond innovation, that is, humanity in its concept Absolute.” The Iranian artist pointed out that by working with her, she leads people to navigate the world of movement and color in order to reach a new place in the depths of the self.



The architect, Alaa Shibli, presents her own lighting design that introduces the concept of sustainability, through designs presented with 3D printing technology, which are lamps designed in a style that mimics the natural movements of bats. Speaking about her designs, Shibli said: “This sustainable design is based on a multidisciplinary scientific approach that does not stop at using nature as an inspiration for beauty, but also focuses on deepening and applying building principles that we find in environments and living species, and the work won an international award, and for this I presented Advanced copies of it. She confirmed that she worked on linking nature with design, as she was inspired by the movement of the bat's wing, as many inscriptions that were translated in the work appear on its wings when opening and closing. She emphasized that she used a recycled plastic material, which is environmentally friendly, noting that the material gives the designer flexibility to work, which makes her accept many possibilities.

The artist, Justin Formentelli, in cooperation with Natalia Conforti, presented a joint work, drawing on octopus canvas in colour, relying on presenting a group of drawings within the same project.

Justin confirmed that she worked to highlight the concept of the family through suspended works that support the performative work, and that highlight family ties in a creative manner.

For her part, Natalia confirmed that they actually worked on this project during the Corona pandemic, and that it is a work close to people and very expressive of the moments that bring families, families and friends together, and therefore it is considered sincere in conveying feelings.
