Travis Scott party death toll rises to 10

The death toll from rapper Travis Scott's concert in Texas has risen to 10, after a nine-year-old boy died of his injuries during the event, a lawyer for the victims announced on Sunday.

About 50,000 people gathered at the NRG Park to attend rapper Travis Scott's concert on the fifth of this month at the Astroworld Festival, when a stampede led to dozens of people falling to the ground, and a number of them fainted from lack of oxygen. Others were trampled under the feet of the pedestrians.

Among them was baby Iser Blount, who was badly injured and placed in an artificial coma in a Houston hospital.

The well-known American lawyer, Ben Crump, who represents the families of the victims of the tragedy, announced in a statement Sunday Blount's death as a result of his injuries.

"The Blount family is in mourning tonight over the incomprehensible loss of their precious little son," Crump said.

"It was not the desired result of taking their son to a party that was supposed to be a joyous celebration," he added.

Ezra's death is a real tragedy.

At least 60 lawsuits were filed against Scott and Canadian rapper Drake, who took to the stage in the last 15 minutes of the concert, long after authorities declared a state of emergency at the venue.
