A short lull, before the resumption of the strike.
Garbage collection agents in the territory of Ouest Provence, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, have resumed their strike movement, the CGT announced on Monday.
In total, six municipalities are concerned: Istres, Miramas, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, Fos-sur-Mer, Cornillon-Confoux and Grans.
These agents, who are fighting against a salary cut of more than 300 euros, had suspended their movement pending a response to maintain their purchasing power.
But "faced with the silence of elected officials and the lack of information from the metropolitan administration, they were therefore forced, in order to be heard, to resume the strike", details the CGT in a press release.
The collection of household waste had been largely disrupted in the Bouches-du-Rhône during a previous strike a little over a month ago, to protest against the change in their working time.
