Nine nations still have the opportunity to continue the adventure which will lead to participation in the final phase of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in a year.

For the moment, Senegal, Morocco, Mali, Egypt, DRC and Ghana have obtained their tickets.

Algeria put to the test Burkina Faso

In group A, Algeria, absent from the 2028 World Cup in Russia, plays a final against Burkina Faso, at home.

The Greens need a pure draw to afford the dams.

The Stallions are only two points behind the Fennecs and they have no choice but to win.

Last Friday, the Algerians won easily against Djibouti (4-0) while the Stallions, led at half-time, had equalized against Niger (1-1).

Enough to force the Fennecs to remain vigilant until the end.

Tunisia can believe it

In Group B, there are still three who can believe it: Tunisia, Equatorial Guinea and Zambia.

While a victory would have allowed the Tunisians to validate their qualification in the play-offs, they lost in Malabo against Equatorial Guinea (1-0) last Saturday on the occasion of the 5th day.

With this success, the Nzalang Nacional returned to the level of the Carthage Eagles, which however retained the lead in Group B thanks to a more favorable goal difference.

For Tunisia, everything will be played against Zambia, which largely dominated Mauritania and which still hopes for this place for the dams in the event of defeat of Tunisia.

But the Zambians should also take care of their goal difference, which seems complicated (+1 against +8 for Tunisia).

A Cameroon-Ivory Coast duel

Nigeria and Cape Verde will also do battle in Group C. The Super Eagles are two points ahead of Cape Verde who overthrew the Central African Republic (2-1) on the fifth day and who will challenge them to Lagos.

Côte d'Ivoire, which is one point ahead of Cameroon in Group D, moves to Douala among the Indomitable Lions who largely beat Malawi 4-0 on the penultimate day.

The Ivorians also obtained convincing success against Mozambique (3-0).

Max Alain Gradel opened the scoring in the 10th minute of play, Maxwel Cornet made the break at the hour mark (61st) before a last goal from Jean-Michaël Seri at the end of the match (90th).
