On November 14, 289 cases of new coronary pneumonia have been reported in Dalian in the past 10 days. Among them, more than 60 students in the University Town of Zhuanghe City have been diagnosed.
Zhuanghe University Town has two campuses in the east and west. Among them, the west campus currently has 7,884 students, distributed in 31 buildings with 2503 dormitories under closed management.
The confirmed student cases that have been announced are mainly distributed in Building A, Building B and Apartment 7 of Apartment 3 on the West Campus.
On November 7, after a positive case appeared, Zhuanghe City simultaneously implemented a comprehensive ban on the two campuses of the University City’s east and west campuses to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
In terms of guaranteeing the life of students, Zhuanghe City urgently transferred nearly 400 personnel from government agencies, enterprises and institutions, community epidemic prevention personnel and volunteers to settle in student apartments under the conditions of secondary protection, and participate in cooperation with the school in carrying out closed management and control of dormitory epidemics and catering. Distribution and domestic waste removal and transportation.
Three meals are free for students during the closed period. Food, drinking water and materials are delivered to the door of the dormitory without contact. Nearly 50,000 meals, daily necessities and other materials are distributed every day.
