A nuclear disaster prevention drill was held to evacuate residents on the assumption that a serious accident occurred at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station of Tokyo Electric Power Company in Niigata Prefecture.

The training was conducted on the assumption that a serious accident occurred at the nuclear power plant due to an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 6 or higher, and about 800 residents from Nagaoka City and Kashiwazaki City participated.

Of these, in Kashiwazaki City, we confirmed the procedure for evacuating with a welfare taxi, and a person in a wheelchair was taking a taxi with the assistance of a driver.

In addition, a face recognition system was used that allows you to efficiently grasp who evacuated to where by registering a face image or name at the reception.

On the other hand, on the coast of Kashiwazaki City, training to evacuate by a ship of the Self-Defense Forces was planned, but it could not be done because the waves were high, and residents can ride on sandy beaches. I got on a nice boat, visited the equipment and turned back.

A man in his 60s who participated said, "I'm sorry I couldn't evacuate using a ship. I'm not worried in the event of a disaster because the SDF's ship is solid. I was talking.

According to Niigata Prefecture, the training was generally conducted as expected, except that the evacuation by ship was not possible.
