The Saudi citizen, Yahya Al-Shoujbi, pardoned the murderer of his son, "Mohammed", free of charge, due to the conditions of his sick mother, and the circumstances she is going through.
Regarding the story of pardon and forgiveness, Yahya Al-Shoujbi says that his son felt his death approaching, and recounted a touching scene as he was overwhelmed with tears, saying: “Before he was killed, he used to sit next to me and we laughed and suddenly he asked me: (When will I catch up with my mother).”
"Abu Muhammad" added, during a report to the "MBC in a week" program, that he went out in secret to visit the mother of his son's murderer so that none of his relatives knew, and introduced them to himself, then told them that he decided to pardon their son for the sake of God Almighty.
He continued, "The issue was a surprise to the family of my son's killer, so that his mother would not believe what I said, and for joy fell to the ground."
Yahya Al-Shoujbi confirmed that after this pardon, he became more comfortable and did not notice any feeling of heartbreak, adding: “I did not take from them not a single riyal, and my soul, praise be to God, is very comfortable because I seek reward from God Almighty, as he said in his dear book: (And the Hereafter is better and more lasting).” .
In appreciation of his initiative to pardon, "Abu Muhammad" visited at his home, the governor of the Asir region, Prince Turki bin Talal, and thanked him, praising his exemplary position in pardoning.
