Après

Her favorite quote:

"It is quite possible that once I reach my forties (provided I live until then), I think back to everything I thought I understood at twenty-two, and that I then measure how good I was. far from the account.

There is always an after, and now I know it.

Until we obviously die.

From there I guess everything belongs up front.

"

Why this book?

  • Because it is already Stephen King's brand new novel

released in French, and that is enough for a fan to rush on such a book.

  • Because it's an excellent thriller with a touch of fantasy…

    and a hint of horror.

Moreover the protagonist, who tells the story, says quickly in the book: “In my opinion, what follows is a story of horror.

    Up to you.

    "

  • Because with barely 330 pages, it's a little novel

on the scale of Stephen King.

It's not a block of 800 or 1,200 pages for once!

And as a result, this novel is devoured quite quickly ... especially since it is difficult to stop once launched!

  • Because Jamie's character is really touching.

We are very worried about this young boy who does not grow up in an ideal context and is experiencing something clearly… disturbing.

The essentials in 2 minutes

The plot.

Jamie is a boy whose literary agent mother struggles to make ends meet.

When its main author dies before finishing the writing of the last book of her saga, she goes to ask her son for help.

The latter has a unique gift ... which will trigger an intriguing and terrifying adventure.

Characters.

A little boy named Jamie, his literary agent mother who lives with a policewoman, and other somewhat… unusual characters shall we say.

Places.

Contemporary New York, and its surroundings.

The time.

The novel is set today, in a modern world.

The author.

Is there really a need to present Stephen King, master of the thriller whose works have very often been adapted for cinema or in series?

This book has been read with

 great care and delight.
