After the death of 14-year-old Josefine in Aschersleben, the police set up a special commission.

The search for clues at the crime scene has now been completed, as a police spokeswoman announced on Thursday morning.

The girl's body is currently being autopsied and the investigation into the victim's environment is being continued with interviews with witnesses.

According to the information, there was no new information about the cause of death and the perpetrator. The circumstances indicated a crime, it had been said on Wednesday. Josefine's body was discovered on Wednesday afternoon in a garage in Aschersleben in the Salzland district after the 14-year-old had been missing for a week.

The girl had wanted to meet her ex-boyfriend on Thursday last week to hand over personal items.

At about half past three that day, the 14-year-old had called another friend, after which she could no longer be reached.

The meeting point with the ex-boyfriend and the location of the corpse were relatively far apart.

The ex-boyfriend had already been questioned as part of the missing person search.

According to the police, he is also still a minor.

Her parents later reported her missing.

The mother had started searches on social media.
