Regarding the large-scale communication failure that occurred at NTT DoCoMo on the 14th of last month, Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Kaneko estimated that about 1 million people could not use calls and data communications at all, and about 4.6 million people had difficulty connecting. It was revealed that it received a report from DoCoMo that it could have reached more than 8.3 million people and data communications.
It took 29 hours for the communication failure to recover completely, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications determined that it was a "serious accident" stipulated by the Telecommunications Business Law, and requested a detailed report based on the law.
