American actor Dean Stockwell, famous for his role in
Quantum Code
, died at the age of 85 on Sunday morning, his agent confirmed to AFP.
He passed away peacefully from a natural cause, according to TMZ.
Born in 1936, Dean Stockwell began an acting career at the age of 6.
Prior to his famous role in the hit 1990's series
Quantum Code
for which he played Al, a Hologram, he had a very noticeable tormented childhood career in his younger years.
He played in
Elia Kazan's
The Invisible Wall
, for which he received a Special Interpretation Award at the Golden Globes in 1948. The same year, he played
The Boy with Green Hair
for Joseph Losey, one of his key roles.
In the 1980s, he obtained supporting roles with David Lynch (
Dune
and
Blue Velvet
), Wim Wenders (
Paris, Texas
) and Francis Ford Coppola (
Tucker
).
