[Explanation] Use a small round spoon to scoop up the sugar syrup, gently wave your wrist, lift, pause, put, or close, as the sugar liquid is sprinkled, it becomes hot while it is hot, and between pitching, a beautiful sugar painting The image is on the slate.

The superb sugar painting master in front of him is the folk intangible cultural heritage "guard" artist Liu Tianming in Harbin.

[Explanation] It is understood that sugar painting is a traditional folk handicraft that uses sugar as a material for modeling. The themes are mostly opera characters, Chinese zodiac signs, and characters.

But Liu Tianming's sugar paintings are different. On his hand-painted pattern boards, there are more lively anime characters like "Pikachu" and "Draco cat", who keep up with the times and keep adding new images following the trend.

I see that our sugar paintings are not the same as before, and they are not the same as when we were children. Many of the things we like now and are more popular can be satisfied in the hands of this master. I think it's quite new and very happy. The sugar painting he drew is not simple. It is very complicated and his skill is very good. It is definitely the kind of real kung fu.

[Explanation] According to Liu Tianming's recollection, his sugar painting skills were not achieved overnight, and his grandfather was his enlightenment teacher who sprinkled sugar painting.

When he was a child, Liu Tianming followed the stall and watched his grandfather skillfully draw various sugar paintings. He was both happy and envious. This experience also planted a seed of sugar painting art in Liu Tianming's heart.

This sugar painting is a family handed down craft. I lived in my grandma's house for a period of time. I became acquainted with my ears and eyes, and gradually came into contact with it, and then I gradually fell in love with it.

When my grandpa was out of the stall and selling sugar paintings, I was always in front of me, and I could often see (grandpa's) actual operation.

[Explanation] After graduating from university, because of his love for sugar painting, Liu Tianming combined his painting major and officially began his career in sugar painting.

But in the process of setting up the stall, Liu Tianming gradually discovered that the children now seem to have lost interest in the traditional sugar painting, which makes him very distressed.

Until one time, a child named someone who wanted to draw a certain anime character. It was a daring person. Although he hadn't seen it before, Liu Tianming agreed to it. After seeing the relevant pictures, with his profound drawing skills, he was short. Within a few tens of seconds, he made a sugar painting exactly the same. Watching the child proudly show off to his peers, it also made Liu Tianming think, why didn't he draw some cartoon characters that the children liked?

To my (child), you don't know what he wants. He chose the picture to say, uncle what I want, you don't have it here, can you do it.

I said I could do it, he said what you want, and I said you can provide me with pictures.

I took a look at the picture and made it for him. The children all know (anime characters). I want this and that too. I will go back and draw it on the picture. As long as the child likes it, I can be satisfied with me. It means to innovate on the basis of tradition.

[Explanation] With the improvement of the traditional sugar painting content, Liu Tianming’s sugar painting booth gradually became lively. He told reporters that when he was immersed in the creation, he raised his eyes and gathered a lot of “new "The child who was attracted by the sugar painting" "tweeted" about the anime character he wanted, his eyes full of curiosity and expectation.

Liu Tianming smiled and said that at that moment he felt like a "Kid King" alive and well.

After I finished the candy painting for the children, they were very happy and were reluctant to eat. They licked it and ate while enjoying it.

After I finished the sugar painting for the children, I was very happy because every time I did it, I thought it was an education for the next generation and a traditional culture for the children.

[Explanation] In the face of children, Liu Tianming always shows his sugar-spreading skills without hesitation. Inheritance and development are his unchanging attitude towards this traditional art.

Liu Tianming said that the integration of trend elements into ancient art can be better accepted by modern people, and this traditional art can continue.

He also hopes that one day more people will pay attention to sugar painting and more children will fall in love with sugar painting.
