Bonfires blazed all night on the border of Belarus with Poland. Thousands of dark-faced young men, women and children were warming themselves, waiting for the dawn. There are frosts in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, just about snow pellets from the sky. Simple belongings in bales, backpacks and knapsacks - the path is not short. Energetic, in hoods, hats with earflaps that are unusual for themselves, these new Huns are waiting for the gates of European paradise to open - and, exhausted by years of survival in their ruined homeland, they will finally share with the once white masters the fruits of their success.

But they seem to have forgotten about the high standards of humanism and hospitality. On the morning of November 9, Poland closed the border crossing at the Kuznitsa Bialystokskaya checkpoint near Grodno, not wanting to see refugees seeking protection and shelter on their land. 12 thousand troops were deployed to the border, anti-terror units, almost tanks, and territorial defense battalions were deployed. The minefields and machine-gun fire have not yet reached, but perhaps they will. The indifference and inhuman attitude of the Polish authorities towards these pariahs of the world cannot but surprise.

Faced with misunderstandings, migrants were forced to act independently. What should they, stay in place and freeze? The men, seizing the moment, with the help of prudently captured metal scissors, made holes in the Polish border barriers, reminiscent of the "thorn" of Auschwitz, rushing with the whole encampment into the opening formed. Some of them managed to break through. The rest of the Polish border guards poured tear gas, frightened them off by firing into the air, and even pulled up aircraft to "psychological pressure" on the refugees.

The last circumstance is eloquent. Apparently, in Warsaw, according to the old European habit, they believe that they are dealing with savages, non-humans. Didn't they see the plane? Among the migrants there are Iraqis, Kurds, immigrants from Afghanistan, the Middle East, North Africa. Yes, their countries are not rich, it is true, but, as a rule, this is the result of many years of military and political intervention by the West. So they run to the place where it is more satisfying. At one time, the martyr Muammar Gaddafi predicted crowds of refugees as a result of the destabilization of the third world from the UN rostrum.

There is no Gaddafi, but there is the Russian Foreign Ministry. Its official representative, Maria Zakharova, reasonably recalled how with the most active participation of Warsaw, Iraq was destroyed. “More than 2 thousand Polish soldiers invaded this sovereign state to establish democracy. Why not accept today at least the same number of "grateful Iraqis" whose ancestors did not dream of such a life, building their own in their own country, until the shameless democratizers broke in there? " Our diplomat asked rhetorically. And in response, silence.

Polish politicians suddenly felt no time for polemics with Russia.

All the more confrontational.

Only a few thousand peaceful refugees literally broke them morally.

They hobbled no worse than the Red Army in 1939.

President Andrzej Duda even postponed his visit to Slovakia.

Not up to the neighbors when you have such a full house on the border.

An extraordinary meeting of the Diet is scheduled for Tuesday.

Earlier, the deputies voted to expel migrants back to Belarus, but it turned out to be difficult.

In addition, the practice of pushbacks is recognized as illegal by human rights activists and the Red Cross.

Warsaw hopes that a solid border fence (named after Trump?), For the construction of which has been allocated about half a billion dollars, will help contain the crowd of migrants. However, the length of the Polish-Belarusian border is more than 400 km, and they managed to erect only 80 km of the wall. But the main obstacle is the EU laws, which require helping the unfortunate, and not sending them back to their countries, dooming them to suffering and even death. Poland has disputed such humanism, but such is the price of EU membership. Do you like to ride - know how to carry sledges.

Finding itself in the role of an outpost of the European paradise, Poland for a while forgot about the disagreements with Brussels and appeals to the interested parties. Former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk even called for the application of Art. 4 of the NATO charter, which provides for consultations within the framework of the alliance due to a threat to one of its members. Well, at least not the fifth article on solidary military resistance in the event of an attack. Otherwise, it will become of the Europeans - fear has big eyes. Poland is traditionally supported by its Baltic singers. In Lithuania, they started talking about sanctions against the airports of the Republic of Belarus.

Germany ardently supports the version of Minsk's involvement in the appearance of thousands of refugees at the border. “Lukashenka is still calling on migrants to Belarus and sending them on a dangerous journey towards the EU,” said the representative of the Foreign Ministry of this country. But the world remembers that if anyone “called” migrants to the EU, it was Frau Merkel, who gladly took selfies with them. The oppressed all over the world have remembered. Let the Germans and Merkel ask now. Or maybe in Berlin they just understand that the final destination of migrants will be their country?

The seriousness of the situation and the degree of fear that has settled in the vastness of Europe can be judged by the appearance on the stage of the US State Department. A spokesman for the US foreign policy, which is still listened to in the world (albeit not very much), expressed concern about the "campaign to create an unusual flow of migrants across the border to Europe" and promised that the US will continue to pressure the leadership of Belarus in order to stop the nervous situation. Washington is trying to scare Lukashenka. Aren't they themselves funny?

In Minsk, the situation is commented on not by the political authorities, but by the State Border Committee.

With all the equanimity inherent in this structure.

“They (migrants. -

RT

) organized themselves into such a large group in order to exclude forcible displacement by the Polish side, as well as to draw the attention of the international community to Warsaw's non-observance of human rights,” explained the Belarusian Karatsupa.

A conference on the situation in Belarus will be held in Vienna on November 22.

The European Union has a chance to correct its earlier mistakes.

Perhaps after that the flow of migrants will dry up.
