Drake has expressed his grief over the drama that took place at the Astroworld festival in Texas on Friday.
“I have spent the last few days trying to understand this devastating tragedy,” he wrote on his Instagram account on Tuesday.
"I hate using this platform to express an emotion as delicate as mourning," he continues before resuming.
My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and for all who are suffering.
I will continue to pray for them (…).
May God be with you all, ”he added.
A complaint against Drake and Travis Scott
A mob movement left eight dead and many injured on Friday at the Astroworld music festival in Texas, in the southern United States.
At around 9 p.m. local time, the festival crowd started to crowd towards the front of the stage, causing panic and the first injuries, then people started to fall, to lose consciousness, which generated a movement of further panic, authorities reported overnight from Friday to Saturday.
Victims of the mob movement have lodged a complaint against rappers Travis Scott and Drake, accused of negligence and of having "incited" to chaos.
