On November 9th, affected by the cold wave and cold air, the lowest temperature in Huzhong District, Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province, the “coldest town in China” dropped to -24.8°C, and rime appeared on both sides of the Huma River.
Under the Huzhong Bridge, the red willows, poplars, and bushes on both sides of the Huma River are covered with a layer of crystal frost. Looking down from the air, there is a jade tree with Qionghua.
Accompanied by the steaming mist on the river surface, the trees are looming, like a fairyland, making people linger.
Huzhong District is located on the top of Xing’an Mountain in Heilongjiang Province, with an average elevation of 810 meters. The lowest temperature in historical towns is -53.2℃, and the annual average temperature is minus 4.3℃. The frost-free period is only 83 days, which is the lowest value in the meteorological record of Chinese cities and towns. The coldest town in China".
