Freezing rain is a relatively complicated weather phenomenon, and its formation depends on the vertical distribution of temperature.

To describe it in ordinary words, there must be a sandwich structure near the ground. The temperature goes from low to high to low. A warm layer will appear in China State Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. to form freezing rain.

[Explanation] Affected by this cold wave, several trains at Changchun Station were suspended on the 8th, and more than a thousand tickets were processed for refunds and changes; 14 high-speed entrances including Jingha Expressway and Changchun Ring Expressway were closed due to icy roads; Changchun Longjia International Airport and Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport were also closed or reduced flights.

In response to this round of extreme weather, the Changchun Emergency Management Bureau issued an emergency notice on the evening of the 7th. Schools and kindergartens in the city’s compulsory section will be suspended for one day; except for the agencies and enterprises that directly guarantee the operation of the city, a flexible working system is implemented; the production of coal mines on the 8th Production will be suspended from 0:00 to 16:00; all passenger and tourist chartered buses will be suspended.

According to meteorological experts, the 8th is still the strongest period of this round of weather. Many areas in Jilin Province will continue to experience complex weather conditions such as blizzards, heavy blizzards, extreme blizzards, sleet, and heavy rain, and the temperature will continue to drop.
