"In 2012, I accidentally learned that the Lao National TV station needed content, so I had the idea of translating Chinese TV series for export." Team leader Huang Fubo introduced. Inspired by the Chinese TV series "Across the Ocean" to Laos, Huang Fubo and his team were encouraged by the introduction of resources and talents, and established a professional translation center in Kunming.
According to Huang Fubo's memories, at first, all role voice actors in the series had to be present at the same time, most of them were Lao students studying in China, and the working hours and professional quality were difficult to guarantee.
To solve this problem, the team developed a remote dubbing control system in 2016. In the same year, it established an overseas translation center in Vientiane, Laos, to realize the remote cooperation between Chinese and Laos actors and staff to complete the dubbing of drama series. Chinese film and television works have been exported steadily in Laos, and the Lao National Television Station has opened three major programs, "Chinese Theater", "Chinese Animation" and "Chinese Agriculture" at fixed times of the day, which are very popular with Lao audiences and form a "Chinese style" national craze.

In recent years, the themes and genres of China's "going to sea" Lao film and television dramas are showing a trend of diversification, especially the number of TV dramas with realistic themes has increased significantly.
Huang Fubo believes that Chinese contemporary film and television works have gradually become a window for the Lao people to understand Chinese society, Chinese families and Chinese people more comprehensively.
Chinese agricultural programs are also "sprouting" in foreign countries, and have been translated and exported to Laos for more than 500 issues.
In 2019, at the "TV China Farm" content seminar held in Luang Prabang, Laos, Lao agricultural experts expressed their gratitude to Huang Fubo's team and hoped that they can translate more agricultural programs that are close to the natural conditions of Laos and make Lao farmers Be able to learn technology and put it into application to help the development of agricultural specialization in Laos.
"Doing translation work is like unifying different train tracks on one road. It must be smooth and stable. The translation content must be faithful, expressive, and elegant, and it must also conform to the language of the target country and local cultural customs. Overseas audiences are more receptive.” Huang Fubo said that China's film and television resources are very rich, and there are many excellent films, TV series and professional works of great communication value, and there is huge room for the development of translation and export.
In 2019, the Huangfubo team cooperated with the Lao National Film Bureau to build the Lao National Film Translation Studio, and the infrastructure construction has been completed.
After completion, the team will also help Laos establish a standard for the translation of film and television works from a professional perspective, and fill the gaps in the official translation agencies and rules of Laos.
At the same time, the Huangfubo team is also committed to expanding the multinational film and television business from "export" to "production".
