Ruler of Sharjah allocates 4.5 million dirhams to support publishers at the book fair

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for making the Sharjah Book Fair the largest book fair in the world.

His Highness said, in a tweet on Twitter yesterday: "Sharjah Book has become the largest book fair in the world in the sale and purchase of copyright in 2021. 15 million books from 83 countries under one roof."

His Highness added: "I congratulate my brother, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, for this achievement.

On the other hand, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the allocation of 4.5 million dirhams to acquire the latest publications and books from publishing houses participating in the 40th session of the Sharjah International Book Fair.

The grant of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah aims to provide Sharjah public and government libraries with various modern publications in all fields, scientific, literary and cultural, Arab and foreign, and to update the knowledge content of the libraries, which constitute a main reference for researchers and readers in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The grant also contributes to supporting publishing makers from various Arab and foreign houses participating in this year's exhibition.
