The Covid-19 pandemic must not make us forget the fight against AIDS: this was recalled by the participants at the summit on HIV AIDS in West and Central Africa which closed last Tuesday in Dakar. .

It brought together, under the aegis of the Senegalese president, around fifteen regional health ministers and civil society organizations.

West and Central Africa, which was at the forefront at the start of the HIV / AIDS epidemic, has fallen behind, and is facing a rise in new infections.

How to relaunch the response?

Susan Kasedde is Director of UNAIDS in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

For her, ending HIV by 2030 is possible.
