The "A Thousand Titles and Titles" initiative brought together 30 publishers, writers and illustrators, to discuss ways of cooperation in developing the production of creative publications, in a session entitled "A mediator", organized as part of the cultural program of the 40th session of the Sharjah International Book Fair.

The session included dozens of bilateral meetings over a period of 90 minutes, during which a number of writers and illustrators presented their works to a group of publishers. The participants in the session also exchanged experiences and ideas that enrich the book industry in the country and contribute to the development of the production of literary publications.

The initiative's director, Majd Al Shehhi, said: "The initiative is concerned with issuing high-quality books, by helping the writer and publisher, and everyone who works in the book industry to find good content in the UAE, as the initiative adopts many creative ideas by writers or illustrators, and presents them to the public."

She added: “Such sessions, which we organize constantly, enable us to reach the creators we are keen to support, in addition to their important role in providing the writer with the opportunity to meet the publisher and present him with his publications, as well as the artist to present his drawings to the publisher or writer to come out at the end of each A session with a set of agreements between all parties involved in the literary industry.

In turn, the writer Haya Al-Qasim said: “This session is one of the initiatives (A thousand titles and titles), which is characterized by content worthy of the minds of readers, and its selection of topics that society needs today, as the session was a link chain, to highlight the participants, whether they are publishers or writers. Or painters, their potential.”
