[Explanation] On November 5th, Zhong Nanshan, the winner of the "Medal of the Republic" and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said at the 4th CIIE that the current global epidemic situation is still severe, and global cooperation is needed to contribute China to the global fight against the epidemic.
[Explanation] In the afternoon of the same day, the sub-forum of the 4th Hongqiao International Economic Forum "National Health and Harmonious Economic and Social Development: New Ideas and New Momentums" was held in Shanghai. Zhong Nanshan delivered a keynote speech in the form of video.
Zhong Nanshan said that the new crown pneumonia epidemic has greatly changed the concept of disease and health in the whole society.

A survey shows that 93% of people believe that health is the most important thing in life, and 74% of respondents have changed their outlook on life because of the epidemic.
It can be seen that the epidemic has accelerated and improved the formation and development of the nation's general health awareness.
[Explanation] According to statistics, as of now, China has reported a total of more than 2.3 billion doses of new crown vaccine. Zhong Nanshan predicts that by the end of 2021, China's vaccinated population may exceed 80%.
However, from a global perspective, the global epidemic situation is still severe, so cooperation needs to be strengthened.

The global epidemic situation is still very severe, and more efforts are needed in scientific research and prevention. Therefore, to carry out global cooperation and contribute our Chinese power to the global fight against the new crown epidemic.
Regardless of the health of the people, whether it is economic recovery, we need to work together across the world to achieve some development and improvement. Only by ensuring the balance of national health and economic development can we achieve a high-quality cycle between economy and health.
