A Bordeaux resident has developed an air decontaminator capable of removing volatile organic bodies (VOCs), that is to say viruses.

R-Clean 200 was originally developed to destroy the influenza virus.

However, it is just as effective against Covid-19, reports 78 Actu.

The machine is notably marketed by Aton Technologie, based in Buchelay (Yvelines).

The device, entirely made in France, has also been certified by a CNRS laboratory.

In one hour, the R-Clean 200 can decontaminate 45 m3, or an office of 25 m2.

One important rule must nevertheless be observed.

The device "must remain on 24 hours a day in order to be effective at all times," explained Sébastien Gélineau, director of Aton Technology.

Effects on asthma

The leader welcomed the results of tests carried out in schools or nursing homes.

The air decontaminator sold for 550 euros HT "even reduced by three times the asthma attacks of a person in whom we had installed the device", he assured.

The R-Clean 200 sucks in air and brings it into contact with a chemical solution.

The elements “are then bombarded by the UV lamp.

The reaction destroys the VOCs, ”explained Sébastien Gélineau.

The other advantage of this equipment is that it is safe and equipped with a UVA lamp that does not emit ozone, unlike UVC lamps.
