The Tarim River in Xinjiang is formed by the confluence of the Aksu River that originated in the Tianshan Mountains, the Yerqiang River and the Hotan River in the Karakoram Mountains. It crosses the Taklimakan Desert and converges within the sixteenth regiment. It has a total length of more than 2,100 kilometers and a drainage area of ​​nearly 200,000 square kilometers. It is the largest inland river in China.
