Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and a member of the Dubai Council, inaugurated the first in-person exhibition organized by the Dubai Collectibles Initiative under the title “When Pictures Speak.. the most prominent artworks selected from the Dubai Collection,” where it is scheduled to The exhibition begins to receive visitors from today.

During the opening, Her Highness met with a number of members of the Steering Committee of the Dubai Collectibles Initiative, including Mohammed Al Murr, Abdul Moneim bin Issa Al Sarkal, and Mona Easa Al Gurg, and a number of members of the Technical Evaluation Committee, including the chairperson of the resident committee, Mona Faisal Al Gurg, Benedita Ghion and Hala Khayat from Art Dubai, and the consultant Carlo Rizzo, where Her Highness discussed the initiative's message and hopes for its long-term development, as well as the recently launched digital museum for the initiative.

When Pictures Speak, the exhibition features selected artworks from the Dubai Collection.

Under the artistic supervision and evaluation of Dr. Nada Shabout, the exhibition presents art holdings owned by 11 sponsors of the "Dubai Collectibles" initiative and includes a selection of modern and contemporary art from across the region.

These 70 works trace the historical process of the development of the Arab arts movement from modernity to contemporary.

The exhibition highlights the role of the Arab Gulf region in documenting the history of art in the region.
