He did not survive his injuries.

Transported in a state of absolute emergency after his fall through the window on the 3rd floor of his apartment in Saint-Exupéry Square on Sunday, a 42-year-old man died in hospital.

The victim would have died at the end of Thursday afternoon, according to Matthieu Thomas, deputy public prosecutor of Rennes.

Sunday morning, October 31, the victim was taken care of by the firefighters after a fall of nearly ten meters from this residence located not far from the park of Maurepas, in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine).

Very quickly, suspicion was focused on a criminal act.

A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken into police custody.

If he has continued to deny the facts, the respondent was still indicted for attempted murder and placed in pre-trial detention Tuesday.

"A new indictment of the murder count is therefore to be considered in view of the death of the victim", specifies the prosecution of Rennes.

The respondent had manifested "violent intentions"

According to investigators, several elements suggest that the suspect was "in contact with the victim in the hours preceding the tragedy".

The indicted would have come to the victim's home on the night of Saturday to Sunday "clearly animated by violent intentions.

It was obviously not the first time this had happened.

"It appears that the respondent has already been at the origin of altercations triggered during previous raids at the victim's home", continues the magistrate.
