Attempts to cross the Channel by migrants on boats are increasing off the North and Pas-de-Calais.
Thursday morning, the body of a migrant was found on the beach of Wissant in Calais accompanied by two people "in a state of severe hypothermia" and Thursday evening, a train struck a group of four migrants who were traveling on the tracks between Dunkirk and Calais, leaving one dead and wounded.

The situation is still very dramatic in Calais where the migratory pressure and the tragedies that go with it continue to intensify.
Three migrants have died since Wednesday in northern France, and several hundred people were rescued again this week in the Channel.
The government sent the head of the Ofii, the French Office for Immigration and Integration, to try to find a solution to the problem.
In the middle of the week, the latter notably announced the creation of a night shelter with 300 places.
After each evacuation operation, the structure is supposed to welcome dispersed migrants to direct them to permanent accommodation outside Calais.
To take stock of this issue, Claire Milot, member of the Salam association which helps migrants in Calais, is a guest of RFI.
