Egyptian security forces raid a farm for slaughtering and mincing donkey meat

The regulatory authorities in Egypt, in cooperation with the security services, seized a farm that slaughtered donkeys, minced their meat and sold them to citizens, in Ismailia Governorate.

According to Al-Youm Al-Sabaa newspaper, information was received from the Ismailia Police Station’s investigations, which were confirmed by investigations into the existence of a farm working on slaughtering donkeys and mincing their meat.

Following the raid on the place, the initial inspection of the place revealed that it is equipped to raise the slaughtered donkeys, and also contains refrigerators for preserving meat, in addition to the presence of a room with large numbers of dogs and another room in which live donkeys are prepared for slaughter.

The raid campaign seized nearly one ton of donkey meat and its offal.

This meat is in violation of the ministerial decision banning the slaughter of donkeys, and restricting the slaughter to only cows, buffaloes, camels, sheep, goats and pigs in licensed government slaughterhouses for this.
