The Media Office of the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Press Club, and Brand Dubai celebrated the Flag Day at the Flag Park, which is organized annually by Brand Dubai on Kite Beach in the Jumeirah area.

This year, the park includes 3000 flags that collectively form the slogan "Expo 2020 Dubai", a celebration of the most important cultural event in the world, in which 192 countries gathered on the land of the Emirates and the city of Dubai with their cultures, history and innovations, and the value and impact it represents in discovering new horizons for cooperation, and achieving more The rapprochement between peoples, and the promotion of joint action to build a better future for humanity, entitled peace, stability and prosperity for all.

The Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, confirmed that the Flag Park celebration was launched in response to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, that the third of November of each year be the "Flag Day". Celebrated as a symbol of the UAE’s elevation and loftiness, the event will turn, in a few years, into a major landmark of this important day, and extend over weeks, allowing the Dubai and UAE community to view it and take memorial photos at its site, in revival of this dear annual national tradition.

She explained that "the eighth edition of the Flag Park event coincides with important events, foremost of which is the UAE's celebration of the fiftieth year, in addition to hosting the largest global event witnessed for the first time in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, which is (Expo 2020 Dubai), whose logo we chose to be The theme of the garden this year, with all the connotations of the logo, and what it highlights from the ancient history of Dubai, because the logo was inspired by the design of a golden artifact found at the site of an archaeological gold factory, discovered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in 2002, in the Al-Marmoum, and it was called (Saruq Al-Hadid).

Al-Marri added: "(Expo) represents the meeting point of the past, present and future, and a platform for the meeting of ancient civilizations, and the golden workpiece represented by the logo is the product of an ancient Emirati civilization, which has raised the value of communication since ancient times with the ties it brought together with the civilization of Dilmun, the Pharaohs and Mesopotamia, all the way to the civilization of Mesopotamia, Sindh and India. ».

The Media Garden is popular with the public, as it has become a well-known event at the state level, and one of the most prominent annual initiatives implemented by “Brand Dubai”, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office, attracting large numbers of citizens, residents and visitors of all ages.
