  In a telephone interview with Xinhua News Agency reporters on the same day, Ibrahim Falinroye, head of the Nigerian National Emergency Management Agency in Lagos State, said that as of the morning of the 4th, rescuers had found 36 bodies and rescued 9 others. Trapped people, there are still an unknown number of people trapped in the rubble, rescue work is still in progress.

The rescued persons are being treated in the hospital.

  Farin Royer said that the Lagos State Government has invited professional organizations to form an independent investigation team to investigate the cause of the accident in a comprehensive, objective and fair manner.
