50 local, regional and international galleries participate in Abu Dhabi Art

Abu Dhabi Art has announced the participation of 50 local, regional and international galleries, including 14 new galleries, during its next edition, which will take place over five days and host artworks from 19 countries, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore an artistic and cultural experience full of diversity and inspiration. Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi, from 17 to 21 November 2021.

"We are pleased to welcome a diverse and inspiring group of galleries that are participating for the first time in (Abu Dhabi Art), in addition to the distinguished galleries, which will return to show with us this year, after a year full of challenges and global health conditions," said Diala Nusseibeh, director of Abu Dhabi Art. We are really pleased with the insistence of the participating galleries to present unique works, ranging from solo exhibitions by veteran artists of modern art from the region, to modern galleries on the scene, which adopt bold visions to showcase the creative works of the distinguished generation of emerging artists.”

This year, the curator, Simon Najami, supervises the “Shadow of Blue” section, which deals with the different visions and ideas of a group of contemporary artists, through the language of jazz, as a language of common dialogue between them, and this section will include artworks by Richard Otogonza and Charlene Comunetel via Avery Art (Kampala, Uganda), Billy Bidjoka and Joel Yunkyo via MAM Gallery (Duala, Cameroon), Abdolia Konate via Primo Marella (Milan, Italy) , and artists Nissan Cosentini and Joel Andrianomiarisua in the Sabrina Omrani Gallery (Madrid, Spain). The "Modern and Contemporary Art" section hosts 26 participating galleries, which host a wide variety of artworks by creators and artists from various artistic paths.In addition to the galleries participating in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art, the "Special Art Projects" section will witness the participation of 22 galleries, where each gallery presents selected artworks from one to three artists.

The 13th edition of Abu Dhabi Art will witness the first participation of the “Russian and Russian” gallery, among 14 new participating galleries this year.
