A scene from a film that caused a scandal

Samuel Étienne presents that day, and as usual, several press articles. Including one from the newspaper

Le Parisien

which tells about the evolution of the representation of erotic scenes on French television. Among the photos chosen by the newspaper to illustrate this article, a screenshot from a 1961 film,

The Execution

, showing the buttocks of actress Nicole Paquin.

This scene from the film has remained famous, since it caused a scandal when the film was released.

It was even she who had led to the creation of the white square.

Affixed at the bottom right of the screen, it was a way of signaling scenes that may shock, until it was replaced by more detailed signage in 1996. For showing this article (and therefore this photo) during its live video, Samuel Étienne is therefore banned from Twitch.

"A rule, to be fair, must be applied intelligently. This was not the case here," he regretted.
