Alec Baldwin dismisses accusations that the shooting of

Rust

took place in poor conditions for the team.

On Instagram, the actor and producer shared a screenshot of a Facebook comment from Terese Magpale Davis, who worked in the costume department.

"Read this", she wrote before a long message that dismantles the accusations that have been relayed by the press.

“I'm so sick of these stories.

I worked on this film.

The story told that we were overworked and worked in dangerous and chaotic conditions is rubbish.

"

She said in particular that the working days were "less than 12 hours" and that only once the team worked more than 12 and a half hours in a row.

She adds that on the day of the accident where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed, "we had just had a 56 hour weekend."

And so, “nobody was too tired to do their job”, which is verifiable with the “time sheets” of the teams.

A strike on the plateau

Santa Fe County officials do not share this version of events.

They report that the cameramen left the set to protest against their working conditions, before the fatal gunshot which also injured director Joel Souza in the shoulder.

Last week Sheriff Adan Mendoza ruled that there were security issues on set and the assistant director admitted he had not checked all the balls to be clear.

An investigation is underway which could implicate the responsibility of Alec Baldwin.
