At 15:00 on November 2, the Hukou Station at the mouth of the Yangtze River was 11.90 meters The Xingzi Station, the iconic hydrological station of Poyang Lake, is 11.99 meters long, marking the first time that Poyang Lake has fallen below 12 meters this year, entering the dry season ahead of schedule.
Overlooking the waters of Shizhongshan at the confluence of rivers and lakes from the air, there are obvious traces of receding water.
Since mid-April this year, Poyang Lake has continued to operate at a medium-high water level. After October, the water level of Poyang Lake has rapidly changed from abundant to dry. The water level at Hukou Station is more than two meters lower than the same period last year and 0.5 meters lower than the average of previous years. Last year entered the dry season 14 days ahead of schedule.
