Due to illness, former governor Hiroshi Ogawa of Fukuoka Prefecture, who had resigned in the middle of his term in March and was undergoing medical treatment, died on the 2nd at the hospitalized Kyushu University Hospital.

He joined the former Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 1973, served as Commissioner of the Patent Office and Cabinet Public Relations Secretary, and was elected for the first time in the 2011 Fukuoka Governor's election.



He won the prize for the third time, and was involved in dealing with the new coronavirus and economic and employment measures. I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma.



After that, I resigned from the governor on March 24th and devoted myself to treatment, but died at the hospitalized Kyushu University Hospital after 11:00 am on the 2nd.

I was 72 years old.
