China News Service, Hangzhou, November 2 (Zhang Yuhuan and Zhang Yudi) After the good weather in the past week, the cold air will once again "check in" the Yangtze River Delta region, and it will be rainy, wet and cold for many days. Under the power of the air, many places will experience the coldest morning since Liqiu.

On the 2nd, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, was overcast with clouds and light rain. The body temperature dropped significantly compared with the previous few days. Many pedestrians on the street have put on hats and scarves to keep out the cold.

According to the Zhejiang Meteorological Observatory, with the increasing warm and humid air currents and the influence of low-altitude convergence, the province will usher in a more obvious precipitation process from the 4th to the 5th. There will be torrential rains in central and southern Zhejiang. There will be strong northerly winds of magnitude 8-10 in the previous period.

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, most of the southern region this week basically ushered in cloudy and rainy "every day" weather. The rain in the Yangtze River Delta region will be stronger in the next three days, and heavy rains may appear in some areas.

It is expected that the continuous rainy weather in the south will come to an end around the 8th after the cold air descends to the south.

With the strong attack of cold air, the highest temperature along the Yangtze River will drop to around 15°C, and the lowest temperature will be less than 10°C. The Yangtze River Delta region may launch the "Experience Winter".

In addition, according to the National Climate Center, China will have a weak to medium intensity "La Nina" event in the winter of 2021.

What climate impact will "La Nina" bring?

According to Lei Yuan, a senior engineer at the Zhejiang Climate Center, this year’s "La Niña" has its clear characteristics, that is, it continues to appear this year after it appeared last year, so the atmospheric circulation will respond more adequately to it.

On the whole, the weather characteristics of this year may be more extreme than last year. The intensity and range of low temperature weather in the Yangtze River Delta region will also be greater than last year, and the probability of extreme weather events will also be greater.
