The Salvation Army intends to open in 2022 a solidarity garage in Kingersheim (Haut-Rhin) near Mulhouse.

The association, which works for the most disadvantaged, will offer to repair vehicles at prices defying all competition.

A used car rental and sales service will also be offered.

Customers will be able to have their automobile repaired at a lower cost.

"This will be a maximum of € 30 per hour of labor," said the foreman at France 3 Grand Est.

It will take 20 € to rent a vehicle but 15 € will be supported by the partners of the Salvation Army.

Searching for vehicles

But in order for the rental and sales service to emerge, volunteers are looking for used vehicles to repair.

The Salvation Army has just launched an appeal for donations, particularly in the direction of companies.

It is also recruiting two secretaries and two mechanics.

Only job seekers and Alsatians will be able to visit this solidarity garage from next year.

It should allow the most precarious to be mobile and to have easier access to employment.
