Even before Alec Baldwin's fatal shot at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, gun accidents occurred while filming the western “Rust”.

Los Angeles Times interviews with more than ten members of the film crew revealed that three misfires were reported.

In one of the incidents, a property manager shot herself in the foot with a blank cartridge.

In another misfire, a blank cartridge also came loose from the revolver of Baldwin's Double, even though the weapon had been handed over to him as unloaded.

Gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for revolvers and rifles on the set of "Rust", had a lawyer reported that she had insisted on compliance with the safety precautions in vain before Baldwin's fatal shot at Rust Movie Productions LLC.

The company, in which Baldwin is also involved as a co-producer, has refused to allow more time for the actors to practice target shooting, the preparation of gun scenes and the maintenance of revolvers and rifles.
