Used to finding lost treasures rather than sowing them, Harrison Ford however misplaced his credit card on a Sicilian beach last week.

But fortunately, a tourist got hold of it, and immediately went to hand it over to the police in Mondello, a town near Palermo.

The authorities quickly realized the identity of the owner of the means of payment.

"Mondello police quickly spotted the spot where 'Indiana Jones' had sought some privacy, after fans recognized him as he was walking incognito near the beach," authorities said. in a statement relayed by CNN.

The officers had no trouble contacting the actor and handed him his bank card, not without asking for a small selfie in passing.

One last adventure

"When the police showed him and returned his property, the actor smiled, relieved of the damage thus prevented and happy to know a place as beautiful as people are honest there," the statement continued, slipping in passing a little praise of Sicily.
