On October 29, Zhou Weimin, a first-level inspector of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, stated at the press conference that from now on, hotels in Beijing’s core districts (Dongcheng District and Xicheng District) will all suspend hosting wedding banquets; hotels in other districts of the city will suspend new hotels. For wedding banquet reservations, the number of people who have been booked for wedding banquets in other districts should be strictly controlled, and various epidemic prevention and control measures such as temperature measurement, code scanning and verification, wearing masks, keeping a safe distance, and environmental ventilation and elimination must be strictly implemented.

Zhou Weimin emphasized that the territorial government must do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic situation in confined cultural and entertainment venues, especially for new indoor entertainment venues such as "script killing", to strengthen management, supervision and inspection, and strictly implement various prevention and control measures. Those who meet or fail to implement epidemic prevention and control measures shall resolutely suspend business activities.
