Gigi Hadid splits from Zayn Malik after he hit her mother
The American model of Palestinian origin, Gigi Hadid, separated from the father of her daughter, the British singer of Pakistani origin, Zain Malik, after a dispute between the latter and Gigi's mother, who beat her, according to TMZ.
In a statement, Gigi, 26, asked for "privacy" after the alleged argument between Zane, 28, and her mother, Yolanda, in which she said she was currently focusing on "the best" for her 13-month-old daughter, Kai.
Sources close to the two sides revealed to People magazine that the two partners decided to separate, stressing that they are good and cooperative parents, "However, Yolanda wants to protect Gigi strongly, and wants the best for her daughter and granddaughter."
