In order to let local children know the charm of the special product "Yuzu", a special classroom was held in Yasuda Town, Kochi Prefecture, where elementary school students can experience the harvest of Yuzu.

This special class is held every year by Yasuda Elementary School with the cooperation of a local Yuzu farmer, and this is the fifth time.

On the 29th, 12 sixth graders from Yasuda Elementary School experienced the harvesting of yuzu, and while paying attention to the thorns growing on the branches, they carefully harvested the large, bright yellow yuzu.

After that, the children also had the experience of squeezing juice using old-fashioned machines at the town's cultural center.

Most of the children were squeezing about 6 liters of juice, surprised by the aroma, as it was the first time to squeeze the yuzu.

The children who participated said, "I wanted to use this yuzu to take a yuzu bath," and "I knew there were thorns, but I didn't know that it was so long."
