Recently, the police from the First Brigade of the Traffic Police Detachment of the Public Security Bureau of Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, discovered that some citizens often forget to wear safety helmets when riding electric bicycles.

In order to further improve the awareness of wearing safety helmets and effectively reduce traffic accident injuries and deaths, the brigade has joined hands with caring companies to put "shared helmets" in the jurisdiction.

Unlike other "sharing economy" operating modes, the "sharing helmet" does not require a deposit, nor does it need to pay a rental fee. It is a pure public welfare loan for free.

The method of borrowing and returning the "sharing helmet" is very simple. Citizens only need to register the user’s name, ID card, mobile phone number and other basic information, and then they can borrow it for free. The used helmets are disinfected.

At present, the Guang'an Traffic Police Department has set up three "shared helmet" loan and return points on Yingbin Avenue and Jin'an Avenue in the main urban area of Guang'an City.

In the next step, Guang'an will increase the amount of delivery and set up additional delivery points, so that "shared helmets" can be safely shared. The general public is also asked to strengthen safety awareness and law-abiding consciousness, and develop the habit of wearing safety helmets.
