Eight months after their departure, the permanent patrols of Minusca have not yet succeeded in reassuring all the inhabitants of Bangassou, Mbomou prefecture, while the local authorities are trying to resume their functions.

With the counter-offensive of loyalist forces since the start of the year, three quarters of the country's local officials have returned to their posts, but their presence remains fragile due to lack of resources.
