It is noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was 260 km from the Indonesian province of Molucca, located on the southern islands of the Molucca archipelago.
The focus was located at a depth of 338.8 km.
Earlier, seismologists recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 off the Northern Kuriles.
