Gilberto Braga, screenwriter of "Slave of Izaura", dies at the age of 75

According to the portal G1, citing the scriptwriter's relatives, the cause of death was an infection.

Braga gained fame in 1976, writing the script for the television series "Slave Izaura", shown in the USSR in two parts in 1988-1989.

The television series follows the final years of slavery in Brazil.

Braga also received an Emmy award for the television series Side by Side (2012-2013) and was nominated for it for the telenovela Tropical Paradise (2007).
