In the internal investigations into the accusation of anti-Semitism, which the singer Gil Ofarim raised against the Leipzig Hotel Westin three weeks ago, none of the witnesses questioned by an internal commission should support Ofarim's version, according to a report in the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit”.

Ofarim had said in a cell phone video distributed via Instagram that he had been asked by a hotel employee to pack his Star of David necklace before he could check in.

According to the report, Ofarim was probably not wearing the necklace visibly at the time in question.

Instead, he allegedly complained about the alleged preference given to other guests at check-in and threatened to publish a video.

The public prosecutor's office continues to investigate in all directions.

The hotel operator had already announced last week that it would refrain from criminal and labor law measures against the employee.
