  • Several US media outlets report that the assistant director gave Alec Baldwin the weapon and shouted "cold gun", a term used for weapons that are blurry.

  • When the shot went off, Baldwin aimed at the camera as an exercise for an upcoming scene.

  • According to the IATSE union and also according to documents in the police investigation, there was a sharp shot in the prop pistol.
