The town hall of Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) wishes to become a nourishing town.

Several axes around agriculture are being studied to achieve this, according to

.

During the summer of 2020, an important step was taken.

A subdivision project initially planned in the west of the city has been abandoned.

Instead, a market gardening plan, supported by the Restos du cœur with the town hall, should see the light of day in 2022.

A working group formed

After this progress, the municipality does not want to stop there.

In May 2021, a campaign was launched to rekindle interest in certain existing plots.

“These gardens are a pillar of urban agriculture, in addition to being a place of learning and democracy,” Chloé Genin, elected representative of the agricultural and food project, told the local daily.

The town hall also supports project leaders, whom it has put in contact with owners.

At the same time, a working group was set up, both to identify the land but also to find out how to use it.
