Sotheby's Auction House presented the first stamp "Black Penny" in history to Hong Kong citizens on October 26.

The reporter saw at the preview site that this "Black Penny" stamp from 1840 was originally printed in black and white and was never used. It was from the first printed edition, with the word AI printed on the top.

This lot is a page of the scrapbook from the private collection of Robert Wallace, a pioneer in the British postal reforms. It includes a "black penny" stamp and another "Malredi" stamp used by the government at the time to represent prepaid postage. .

The lot is accompanied by Wallace's handwritten notes and date, so it is called the "Wallace Collection".

The "Wallace Collection" will be on sale at Sotheby's "Rare Treasures" auction in London on December 7th, with an estimated value of 4 million to 6 million pounds.
